Something has been bothering me for about three weeks and I keep delaying it, so maybe talking about it here will push me to finally act. My 2014 Infiniti Q70 has around 105,000 km and the engine feels different from before. When I start it in the morning, it takes a second longer to catch, and when I press the pedal to leave a signal, the car hesitates for a moment and then jumps forward. It feels like it coughs. Last Thursday I also noticed the fuel gauge going down faster than usual, and I honestly cannot remember the last time anyone changed the plugs on this car. The previous owner gave me a folder of papers, but I could not find anything about it. My neighbor says plugs last forever now and I am worrying for nothing. My cousin, who used to work in a garage, says even the long life ones get tired after some years in this heat and that a weak spark makes the engine waste petrol. I read a page on last night to understand the basics, and it explained that worn plugs can cause rough starts, weak pickup and even make the engine shake a little at idle, which matched what I feel. Since I cannot leave the car for many days because of work, I started looking into Same-day spark plugs replacement for Infiniti in Musaffah, because the idea of dropping it in the morning and driving home in the evening sounds perfect for me. But I do have some doubts. Is it really a small job, or can it turn into a long one if something breaks while removing the old ones? Should I change all of them together, even if only one seems bad? Also, does it matter if I buy original ones or the cheaper brand from a normal shop? I heard the wrong type can cause trouble, but I am not sure how true that is. And how will I know the difference after the change, will the car feel smoother right away? I would really like to hear what happened with your cars. Thanks for reading.
