Ceramic coating worth it in this heat or just a waste of money?

Been going back and forth on this for weeks now. Everyone I talk to has a different opinion. Some say ceramic coating is a must here because of the sun and dust, others say it's overpriced nonsense that wears off in a year anyway. My A4 is white and the paint still looks decent but I want to protect it before it starts fading. A colleague mentioned he got his done and sent me https://exoticcarcare.ae/ to check out. Prices seem all over the place between different places though and I honestly don't know what a fair rate is. Is there a specific brand or type I should be asking for? And how do I know if a place is actually applying it properly versus just spraying something on and calling it ceramic?
